Our twice-yearly Meetings are normally held at
Coventry
Transport Museum,
Millennium Place. Hale Street, Coventry — a splendidly appropriate location.
The Museum holds the world's largest collection of British road transport
vehicles, principally cars, but also commercial vehicles, cycles etc.
In 2007, the Museum received accreditation by the Museum,
Libraries and Archives Council (MLA), confirmation of having achieved the
highest quality standards in all aspects of its work.
At our Meetings, a variety of speakers (principally from our diverse
membership), reflect on historical developments and lessons to be
derived from history. The aim — to suggest untapped areas for historical
research; or simply to widen the vision of the specialist by drawing
attention to relevant evidence, in an historical context, in some unrelated
field.
The next meeting is on
Saturday 5 April at
Coventry, commencing at 10:30. This meeting incorporates the
Association's Annual General Meeting, but will as usual, follow with
presentations from members.
